    This is the real deal. An authentic Punjabi dhaba smack dab in the middle of nowhere, NM. A no frills dive with the best Indian food I've had at a restaurant in the United States.

    Everything about this place flooded me with feelings of nostalgia for Amritsar. The handwritten Punjabi menu. The achar (Indian pickles) on every table. Even the rather grungy bathroom. This place isn't trying to impress anyone with the decor, it's not trying to be fancy, it's just damn good Indian food in a super casual environment. Just like most of the best places in India.

    They have a buffet, and while I'm sure it's fine, I highly recommend taking the extra time to order off the menu. The aloo paranthas are not to be missed! So good!

    The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and the convenience store sells some Indian groceries as well.

    My only gripe is that I cannot pick this place up and move it to my home city of New Orleans!

    Please do yourself a favor when driving along I-40 and take a break from the usual road-trip diet of fast food and treat yourself to an authentic taste of the Punjab.

    You wouldn't expect good food from a truck stop in the middle of nowhere, but it exists here. Try the samosas.

    It's a gas station with an Indian buffet inside. Very good food selection. Everything was yummy . Not far off RT40.

    Oh my God. Anyone who gives this a place positive stars is on serious drugs. If anyone is reading this and considering eating there, here's a tip: go take a look a the bathroom first... would rather eat of the toilet seat of a port-a-potty on a hot August day at Lilith Fair, not an exaggeration.

    Best frickin' samosas I have ever had - and I have been eating them for 50 long delicious years !!!
    I am serious. There is a whole village back there cooking, moms, dads, grandmas... its delicious indian punjabi food just like at the dhabas (restaurants) in Punjab, India...
    Very satisfying. I actually ordered 20 more to go... lol
    I was driving to NY and guess what, they were all delicious when I shared them with my family a couple of days later ! (obviously I had a few more...)

    Highly recommended - HIGHLY !!!!!!!!!
